To be clear, this does not mean that Google will get rid of the rich results reports in Search Console. Google removed specific filters that combined all rich result data into one view.
Google says that the general appearance of rich search results is no longer needed, because many of the supported rich result types have their own break lines.
Aggregating all the data to get rich results is never the ideal solution, but it is the only solution available when detailed reports are not available.
Google Search Console now supports 19 search appearances in performance reports.
If the website can use multiple types of rich results, combining all the impression data into one metric is not very useful for the website owner.
Deleting the search appearance will not affect traffic in any way.
This is just a report change.
The site owner will not lose data, either, because Search Console’s performance reports will continue to provide data about a single rich result type in its own drill-down row.
Google will continue to support the general look and feel of rich search results until August 1.
After that date, it will no longer be available in Search Console or API.
