Google My Business Food Ordering Feature Launched April Update 2021

Google has added a new feature (which I think is new) to the Google My Business menu, the “Food Ordering” tab. Some restaurants may start to see this button in the “Google My Business” console menu.

This allows restaurants to manage how customers order food online through their business profile on Google maps and search. You can use an external provider and integrate it with Google My Business, or you can add a link to place an order. Note that these services were provided by Google as early as 2017, but this new interface is much better.

How to Set a preferred online order provider

  1. Sign in to Google My Business.
    • If you have multiple locations, select the location you want to manage.
  2. In the left menu, select Food ordering.
  3. Under “Choose your preferred providers,” select a preferred pickup and/or delivery provider.
