Google today announced that the English product review will be released on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
The product review page has improved since the last product review. can be seen appearing in the latest update.
This update is called the December 2021 Product Review Update and will take three weeks to rollout fully.
Prior to this update, there was a spam update in November 2021 and a critical update process that ended submissions by the end of November.
Some may think that it was too early or that it was not important for Google to release the update when it was its biggest purchase, but so far these updates do not ‘were not particularly affected.
But it is very unfortunate if a legitimate product review site accidentally lost its ranking at this important time of year.

Best Practices for December 2021 Product Review Update
Google has also issued a stern warning that it will implement verification of two new products created to clearly fake product reviews.
The first requirement is that the product inspection site provide evidence that the product is actually being tested.
Many low quality reviews are clearly linked websites that post fake reviews next to the rewritten version of the product specifications.
Another requirement is that the product review contain several purchase options.
Google’s product review update stated:
“Users have told us that they trust reviews with evidence of products actually being tested, and prefer to have more options to purchase the product.
Provide evidence such as visuals, audio, or other links of your own experience with the product, to support your expertise and reinforce the authenticity of your review.
Include links to multiple sellers to give the reader the option to purchase from their merchant of choice.”
Google does not cite these best practices as a factor, but says these “best practices” will translate into future product reviews updates.
Therefore, these two best practices can be considered as an evaluation factor.
The new document is called “Write a High Quality Product Review“.
The Best Practices page identifies requirements that work to improve actual reviews and eliminate fake reviews.
Here is a sample:
Share quantitative measurements about how a product measures up in various categories of performance.
Describe how a product has evolved from previous models or releases to provide improvements, address issues, or otherwise help users in making a purchase decision.
Describe key choices in how a product has been designed and their effect on the users beyond what the manufacturer says.
Include links to other useful resources (your own or from other sites) to help a reader make a decision.
Promoting Quality Product Reviews
Many products, such as kayaks, are expensive to test, leading to many misdiagnosis that do not involve the original product image, as virtually no kayaks are tested.
The question is whether these new requirements can be met by manually adding fake content and images to the page by posting fake reviews.
