2 New Instagram Insights
- Accounts Reached
- Accounts Engaged
The number of users involved in your content represents only a small percentage of the number of users who have viewed your content.
For more information, see the “Accounts Reached” section of Instagram Insights.
You will see the total number of accounts reached and a demographic breakdown similar to the compromised account.
Earlier this year, Instagram added information to Reels and live broadcast accounts.
Demographics are only available for feed posts, but now you can see how many accounts you have received for all types of content.
Instagram adds demographics to the audience insights for a section called the Accounts Engaged.
In this section you can see where your most enthusiastic followers live, how old they are, and more.
The data added includes:
- Top cities
- Top countries
- Top age ranges and gender
All of the above information is categorized according to followers and non-followers.
This makes it easy to find the difference between those who choose to follow you after viewing the content and those who don’t.
In addition to demographics, the Accounts Engaged section maintains the current total for all accounts that processed content over a specific period of time.

You can find insights in the main menu of the Instagram app.
If you don’t see it, you may not have a business account.
If you have a personal account and want to access Instagram Insights, look for the option Switch to Professional Account in the main menu.
Anyone can get a business account and there is no upgrade cost.
