Google’s John Mueller confirmed once again that compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) is not a signal that Google uses to rank web pages in Google search.
John said: “I think it is useful for your website, but we will not use it for search rankings.”
John Mueller replied this on Twitter – here are those tweets:
I’m sure it can be useful for your site, but we don’t use it for search ranking.

Now, we all know this, and I think I’ve talked about it before. But sometimes the work you do on the code and website for ADA purposes can help Google better understand your content.
This is not a direct ranking signal, but maybe it can help you build a better website?
